Meet Dr. Samuel Miller, one of Mills River Family Dental’s friendly and experienced dentists!
“I grew up in the horse capital of the world, Lexington, Kentucky. My mother loves horses to this day and has one she still occasionally rides. My father was and still is a dentist at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. He brought me into the dental world and it has definitely rubbed off on me.
I played soccer at the University of Kentucky in undergraduate school where I majored in Human Nutrition. After realizing I couldn’t go professional in soccer, I regrouped and applied to dental school. I was accepted to the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry program where I found a passion for interacting with patients.
Later, I furthered my dental knowledge at General Practice Residency at Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC), here in Asheville, NC. It was MAHEC that helped me fall in love with the community that the Asheville area has to offer, as well as the outdoors.
Currently, I live in South Asheville with my girlfriend, and our Dachshund puppy, Bean (aka Boopy). I am still a soccer fanatic and continue to play in local leagues in the Asheville area. My favorite team is Manchester United, so it’s been a rough couple of years for me…”
