There are a few things you can count on when you first visit Mills River Family Dental. We understand how dentist visits may be a little overwhelming. To make your first visit less stressful, we have compiled a list of what to expect.
Before we can work on your gums and teeth, there are some things we need to know and some things the state needs you to sign. We provide these forms for you to print online. If you’d rather fill them out in the office, you can arrive to your appointment 15 minutes early. Our New Patient Coordinator will be happy to assist you.
What to Bring?
Please bring your ID, Insurance Card, any x-rays or records you may have from your previous dentist.
Your hygienist or assistant will greet you, get to know you, and then take x-rays of your mouth. We need these x-rays so our dentists can get a comprehensive look at your oral health. We utilize the latest technology in digital x-rays, so they are safe and effective. Please feel free to bring any current x-rays to the office.
If you are not here for a dental emergency, our hygienist will perform a thorough teeth cleaning. We will discuss your medical history and any concerns you may have.
After your thorough dental cleaning, our doctor and his assistant will meet you. He will do a thorough examination of each tooth, gums, and review all x-rays with you. After answering questions or concerns you may have, he will make his own recommendations of further treatment if needed.
Schedule Your Next Dental Visit
After your exam is completed, our Treatment Coordinator will help you schedule your next visit with us.
